Can't be beat for the fitment, build quality, and price! I didn't want to lose my rear under seat storage, so that was the next best thing. For the real bass, I added a custom built box from with a JL Audio 13TW5v2-2 sub. Good luck finding anyone or any place selling a single though.they're only sold in pairs. Makes installation a breeze!įor the center channel, I installed a single JL Audio C2-350x speaker. The difference that makes in just the reduction of road noise was great! Get yourself a good roller as well. It was the perfect amount to do all 4 doors and the entire rear cab, and also had the best price. For that, I went with a single box of Noico 80mm. One of the best things I did, was to install sound dampening material throughout the cab. I used some scrap aluminum straps to mount the Focal and JL Audio tweeters in the factory mounts. There is no need to use the crossovers from either set of speakers, since the factory amp has a crossover built in. For the rear doors I installed a pair of tweeters from from a JL Audio C2-525 component set, then installed the rear component speakers in the very back of the cab. Just double check your wiring! I included a wiring diagram below. I bought 4 of them, and they were perfect. Amazon had the best price, just look for Metra 72-5600 Ford Speaker Harness. I also bought a factory wiring adapter so there was no need to cut any factory harnesses. Kinda pricey.but well worth the bang! I had to buy some adapters as well as do some slight trimming in order for them to fit into the door. Here are both of their build links:įor the front doors I went with a Focal PS165V1 Component Set. I mostly followed the build that BIGDZL and mtiffee did in theirs. You can absolutely improve the sound by replacing the factory speakers.
